Leonid's passion for photography began in the early 70s when he inherited a vintage 35 mm film camera from his grandfather. Over the years, he has been influenced by many sources, but mid and end-20th century classic black and white photography has always stood out to him. This style has served as a cornerstone in his passion to capture moments and situations that are often overlooked in our daily routines.
Despite being a classic style, black and white photography is still a niche where Leonid feels most comfortable. Leonid currently resides in the beautiful Hudson Valley in New York, which influences his work significantly with the poetry of peaceful nature of the fields, mountains, and empty country roads.
Leonid is currently working as a freelance photographer for Hudson Valley Magazine and Valley Table magazine.
